Soccer Update

I just realized that I did not write one post in October!! That's terrible & I don't know why I can't spend 10 minutes updating my blog.....  ugh!

Anyway, we are so excited because Rosie's 5th grade team is playing Immacolata for the league championship in soccer tomorrow at 12:30!!!  It's been a great season, and it is going to be a great game.  We beat Annunciation last Saturday in a super exciting game - these 3 teams were tied for 1st so we must win on Saturday!!

I have so many great pics from an amazing soccer season this fall, and I will finally have some downtime this weekend to post a few.  We played for St. MM plus the girls did a Scott Gallagher session which upped their game so much.  They really want to get on a "travel team" next year, but it makes me nervous to figure out how to get them all where they need to be with my work schedule & travel.  We'll just figure it out as we always do! 

Did I mention that the weather has been absolutely perfect this October?  Jo has been a trooper & is the biggest cheerleader of all.  The girls can't wait to watch Jo when she gets on a team in a few years - she will have more fans than anyone else!

Big game tonight - Chicago Blackhawks vs. STL Blues!  Pete had an extra ticket & Rosie was so excited to go!!  After a hard week of projects & tests (yes, it's only Thursday night), she deserved a night out with her dad!

Cutest Soccer Player Ever

Jo is participating in the same soccer skills camp as Rosie & Anna, and she is adorable!!!  She is doing great, and it only took a little coaxing for her to be on her own with the coach.  Every Sunday morning right after Mass we head to Soccer Park for camp!!  Jo mostly loves her soccer shoes, shirt and socks!  Whatever it takes....

EIGHT is GREAT!!!

Anna turned eight on Saturday, and we celebrated all weekend long!  She woke me up two times VERY EARLY ready to open her gifts on Saturday morning.  She wanted a radio for her room, and it also has a spot to play her iPod.  She also received a skinny watch, scrapbooking paper, Ramona & Beezus book & POPCORN!  I flew threw Midway on my way home from a client trip on Thursday & knew she would love some popcorn.  She did!!

Later that morning, we asked her two best friends, Hailey & Caroline, over for chocolate chip pancakes.  We were supposed to have an 8am & 9am soccer game, but a monsoon came through during the night & the fields were flooded.  We were happy to have pancakes early vs. for lunch!!  They played until noon & just had a great morning together.

Happy Birthday Anna!  We love you!!

Jo's ever changing look

Jo left for school with one pony tail & came home with red ribbons & barretts!  Her teachers love doing her hair, and she loves having her hair done.  She is VERY particular too!!  She does make us a little crazy in the mornings....

Here's a quick look at the new room for Jo & Anna.  Rosie did Jo's hair this particular morning!  She sits very still for her sister & not for her mommy!!!  She was a princess in this picture (thus the blanket wrapped beautifully around her).

Shopping with Grandma

After Mass, we had a nice Sunday morning breakfast & shopping spree with my Mom.  We've cleaned out closets & rooms, painted & finally finished Anna & Jo's new room right before school started.  Rosie actually has her own room now.  Anna & Jo's room is pink & brown & adorable!!!  Anna really wanted a bookshelf/small dresser in between the two beds, and we found a perfect fit yesterday.

Apple Picking

Yesterday, we went apple picking with the Gombas' at Eckert's in Millstadt (about an hour from St. Louis).  I've been there a few times with the kids for preschool field trips, but this time was even better since we were all together!  The weather this weekend is amazing, sunny & 80 degrees - absolutely perfect!!! 

We picked 5 bags of apples - mostly Jonathon as they are so sweet & crisp.  Rosie wants baked apples for dinner, Anna & Jo just want to eat them constantly, and I want to make an apple crisp & pie.  Pete will probably go for the pie too!

You can see the city from the farm - pretty cool!  I wore my Mizzou shirt today & the Tigers beat Illinois 23-13!!  I can't wait to give the Illinois alum in my office trouble for once!
